The property and views are stunning. Our room was so cute and the pictures do not do it justice! Large room with beautiful windows that open, lovely restaurant and the grounds are wonderful for taking walks. Just below the property (about a 12 minute walk down the hill) is a little restaurant that had delicious soup and yummy coffee and croissants. A field next to it was filled with sheep and horses and a friendly cat. Breakfast was out of this world…The whole trip was magical for my daughter and I!

The host Rene was very nice and helpful . I jad a very pleasant stay. The hotel is just outside the city of Slazburg, and there's a couple of buses outside the hotel that take you to Salzburg, the stops are just outside the hotel. The breakfast is is a very good german Breakfast with eggs to your selection.

Location was exceptional. Close walk to the old town and bus stops directly in front of the hotel if you didn’t want to walk. The staff was extremely friendly and offered assistance on locating a laundry facility since the one closest to the hotel was closed for the holidays. The breakfast buffet was marvelous. Wide variety of meat, cheeses, eggs, spreads, and fresh bake options.

Property and room very clean. Staff very courteous and friendly. About a 300 meter walk from the Salzburg rail station and an 800 meter walk to the Christmas markets. Nice roof top lounge.

A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. And the sky at night is spectacular! Want an authentic taste of Austrian Gemütlichkeit? This is your place!

We were simply captivated by the wonderful atmosphere of the several-hundred-year-old building. Great interior, carefully assembled old restored furniture. Just a walk around the territory of the monastery takes you back several centuries. The restaurant terrace offers a great view of Salzburg, while goats graze in the meadow below. It leaves a big impression. It is true that the hotel with the church nearby is clearly visible from Salzburg Castle. We also really liked the rich and tasty breakfast.
As we often travel for work and visit different hotels, we have never met a unkind person-employee at the reception desk. The man who worked answered our questions unkindly, or with a sub-question in a negative context. While talking, he does not look in the direction of the guest who is trying to talk with him, but at the computer, nervously.
We did not feel welcome in the hotel, only because of the man who was unpleasant, negative and spread negative energy
Very nice hotel, lovely location close to Salzburg. 15 min drive by 1 bus. Lovely size of the room and the bathroom. Traditional and lovely family establishment. Enjoyed the back garden especially in the hot weather. Great choice for breakfast, could not fault it.
A quaint hotel out in the country. We only stayed one night, but we would gladly stay for many more. Breakfast was great. Free parking. Friendly staff.
