The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain has very nice rooms in the suburb north of Salzburg. The room itself was luxurious and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was also very helpful with my late check-in. The view from the property is one-of-a-kind.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. The room was spacious with excellent amenities. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. There are options to dine in the evening and although i didn't the menu looked excellent.
Superb hotel, splendid views, comfortable room and bathroom, good breakfast, a prime hotel for a fraction.
Easy to get to city center with car. Free parking.
