It was very luxurious, with lots of space! It was relatively easy to check in, and the staff were extremely helpful. The accommodation is mainly self-catering with lots of restaurants surrounding the area.

Located in Vaalwater, AfriCamps Waterberg offers a plunge pool. Guests can benefit from a balcony and a sun terrace. The property is non-smoking and is set 20 km from Madikela Private Game Reserve. The serenity. Full nature surroundings with wild life pop ins, that was amazing.

The staff has been exceptional and well trained, super helpful and friendly. A proper warm South African welcome. The food (almost too much of it) the heated pool, the spa, the drinks on the deck, the game drives, the views, rooms are super clean and fresh towels whenever you need. There really isn’t anything not to like. It was a magical restful time and exactly what we needed after a crazy year.

With Zebula Golf Course reachable in 26 km, Letamo at Qwabi Private Game Reserve by NEWMARK provides accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and a bar. Was really well done. They have good recipe, and hope for the best for the property

With Olifants West Game Reserve reachable in 36 km, MILIMA Big 5 Safari Lodge provides accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. The location in the middle of the bush. We had the villa which was very clean. The staff were great. The food was amazing, I requested vegetarian which was really good. The waterhole were animals come to drink. We saw all the Big 5 (we did 6 game drives). It felt like a home away from home. Will recommend it to everyone.

With Drakensig Golf Club reachable in 5.9 km, Muunga Bush Lodge & Spa features accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. We thought we were only going to crash for a night after a long flight and before starting a safari the next day, but we were absolutely mind blown by how amazing everything was. Perfect location in the middle of what is called "Wildlife Estate" which gives you a chance to see wild animals strolling nearby (we almost saw all the same animals we saw on the safari strolling around the lodge), this is an astounding place with a beautiful room which makes you feel you're in a dream! Last but not least - Ruan and Jenny were very friendly and informative on things to do, and even gave us recommendations about Cape Town which was our next stop. For a small fee, we pre-arranged dinner (which was delicious and cooked by one of their chefs) and transfer from the Hoedspruit airport as well. Communication was easy and Ruan was very responsive. It was such a shame that we only spent one night - had we known how calm and beautiful it all was, we would have 100% extended our stay. So sad to have left but I rave about it. There couldn't have been a more perfect welcome to South Africa.

Staying at African Flair is a wonderful experience and a great place to base yourself to see the attractions of the region. This is one of those rare places where only videos or seeing the lodge in person can fully capture the attention to detail and layout of the lodge, photos just don't do justice to take it all in. The included breakfast is exceptional too and way better than anything you could find elsewhere in town. We don't often post reviews on accommodation that we stay at but this is an exception. Having visited all corners of the globe this is the closest we have seen to a 10/10. The lodge is roomy, well decorated and full of optional extras at your discretion to make your visit even more memorable. If you want to really cap off a memorable visit to the Kruger/Blyde River region, this is definitely the place to stay!

With garden views, Oase by 7 Star Lodges - Greater Kruger Private 530ha Reserve is located in Hoedspruit and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Everything was impeccable. We were fortunate enough to be the only guests for the time we were there. A highlight is that all of our meals were set up in different areas of the reserve. The chef’s meals and plating was superb. The portions were large. The in-house cinema was a bonus . Janus is a tremendous manager and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Lastly, on our last day we were lucky enough to have dinner with one of the owners and her two friends which made us feel a little like family. My partner and I and her mother would definitely come back and we will be recommending 7star Oase to friends and family
