Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!

They also got the free shuttle service only for fews destinations.

Arai Villa Myoko is located in Myoko, 47 km from Zenkoji Temple, 49 km from Nagano Station, as well as 23 km from Lake Nojiri. The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Myoko Woodland Lodge, a property with a garden, is situated in Myoko, 44 km from Suzaka City Zoo, 44 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, as well as 44 km from Ryuoo Ski Park. Well located, really spacious with all the amenities one would need. Laundry, fully stocked kitchen, great wifi speeds etc. very centrally located close to town and the supermarket. You’d want to cook cos their kitchen is great. Matt also does snow clearing on massive days so takes the stress of digging the car out!

Set in Myoko, 34 km from Zenkoji Temple and 36 km from Nagano Station, Wasabi Wonderland, Boutique Chalet sleeps 10 offers a garden and air conditioning. Great chalet in a fantastic location. We had two families with 3 kids and i really cant fault our stay. The entire chalet is much bigger than expected, the kitchen and living areas are really functional, perfect after a long day on the mountain to relax with amazing views of the surrounding valley. There is a huge drying room for ski gear and ample storage throughout. On arrival we met the host who gave us a rundown on the chalet, Akakura town and surrounding areas. We rented a car from Nagano which I highly recommend as its easier to drive into the center of town with ski gear plus there are plenty of other good mountains in the area.

Located in Myoko, Myoko Forest Lodge provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. This place is amazing! The room was super clean, warm, and the bed was really comfortable. Good reliable WiFi throughout the lodge, and if you're a skier or snowboarder the drying room downstairs is perfect for storing your gear. The location is lovely and scenic but only a short drive to plenty of places to eat, the train station, and the various snow resorts; transfers to the resorts were easy to organise, and a few of the closer ones are offered free of charge (the further ones cost but are very reasonable). The traditional bath they have available is also incredible for a soak after a big day on the mountain! Chereyne and Brett are fantastic hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the area, very welcoming and happy to help with things like train station pickups, making local dinner reservations, making resort recommendations etc. They were also super accommodating of my dietary requirements (vegan) for all meals we ate at the lodge - amazing cooked breakfasts with continental options available too, and beautiful traditional barbeque dinners (they alternate with more western style meals and it's up to you which you want to eat in/out for). Myoko is a beautiful spot with some amazing snow to be enjoyed and it's super accessible from Tokyo, would absolutely recommend this place and hope we get the opportunity to come back!
