Another thing that impressed me was that the lady that I interacted with at the hotel's reception desk spoke enough English to help me successfully install WhatApp on my phone. Moreover, all the essentials in the room worked as designed. The lights lit up the room, the toilet flushed, and the hot water was hot. I didn't try the AC or the TV but I'm sure they probably worked. Also I never tried to lock tne room door when I waa inside the room but I suppose that worked also even though it was very old like most everything else in Cairo.
