Really cosy and peaceful capsule hotel in a chilled out neighbourhood that was still convenient for all sightseeing. I loved the vibe of the hotel - everyone was very respectful of the quiet. I was on the women's only floor which was great - shower facilities good and the rooms were really relaxing and calm.

Bathroom Amenities provided. So, we don't have to take our own basic facial stuff and shower gel or shampoo. It's ok for 1 night
Open from June 2016, MyCUBE by MYSTAYS Asakusa Kuramae is conveniently located a 2-minute walk from Kuramae Station on the Toei Asakusa and Oedo lines.
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
This hotel is just a few minutes away from Funabashi Station from which you can take the train to Tokyo (Shimbashi or Hamamatsucho) in around 40 minutes. Staff was very friendly, room was spacious and comfortable.
Facilities are extremely clean, comfortable beds, large locker spaces, and washing areas. Staff were super kind and helpful. Unlimited free drinks are lovely, the milk tea is really delicious 😋 men and women are on separate floors, but it is nice that this capsule hotel can accommodate both genders! The location is also wonderful, only a couple minutes walk from the station which is convenient.
The space was larger then expected and I felt there was room to move. The staff had a verbal Japanese to English translator so it was easy to communicate. They had a beer vending machine and drinks/noodles available at the front desk so you didn't need to leave once you'd checked in.
The owner of the place was kind and friendly and can speak English.
The best part of the stay was the breakfast which the owner himself prepared. It was the first time we tried a local specialty and it honestly was a specialty, not just the same meal you eat everywhere else.
I recommend taking a Japanese-style breakfast.
The capsule hotel rates are affordable. The health and safety of the guests are of extreme concern: disinfectant sprays are available, and the capsules are not crowded.
