Boasting a garden and views of river, Khaosok August Freedom Camp is a recently renovated campground situated in Khao Sok, 1.1 km from Khao Sok. This was my first camping experience in Thailand, and I loved it. I was a bit wary because the listing said "empty lot", but I got a big tent with a mat and blanket, as well as a towel, toilet paper, my own fan, and extension cord for charging my phone. The tents are on an elevated platform and sheltered from the elements. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of fresh bananas and delicious local sweets. The location is really great because it's quiet and serene, but it takes 5 minutes to walk to the entrance to the national park and all the restaurants. You can book tours of the Khao Sok National Park directly from the host. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer.

When I arrived I was invited into Amed's family's home for my reception. I was greeted with kindness, Joy and felt like i was family instantly. I have never experienced something like this before. I was offered something to drink and sat on the livinroom couch surrounded by his family and friends who all made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Amed shared with me his mission statement regarding how he is building his resort to give all visitors a truly joyful experience and stay. He and his wife are building an oasis in the jungle hillside from the ground up, with the main focus of giving their guests a truly unique and special stay. I had chosen the tent option and was truly impressed with how they had thought of everything when it came to equipping the tents with everything that I would need, including a comfortable king size bed. They are in the process of building more facilities and expanding their resort to include a yoga terrace, more washrooms, more rooms and a future pool and restaurant. The quality of the construction is superior to anything that I've seen and I worked in construction most of my life. I could go on and on a out how wonderful I was treated. Great place for solo travelers in Southeast Asia! Currently staying on Ko Samui, and this place is perfect. It's very quiet and offers stunning hill views. The on-site restaurant serves delicious and affordable meals with a beautiful view. The facilities are basic but definitely worth the price. Highly recommend!

Located within 14 km of Cheow Lan Lake and 12 km of Klong Phanom National Park, Klongsaeng framstay provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ban Ta Khun. The staff was very kind and supportive. The place is nice and clean , and houses are quite cosy for the forest stay. Rafting is nice. Kids enjoyed a lot. The hostess is attentive. Even though our dog is quite big, they allowed us to bring it everywhere around the resort. Nice place for the nature unity.

Boasting sea views, Phulipa Jungle Camp offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar, around 17 km from Grandfather's Grandmother's Rocks. A beautiful, perfect place with excellent staff. They went out of their way to help us have the best experience. The food is fantastic.

Situated in Laem Sor, within a few steps of Laem Sor Beach and less than 1 km of Bang Kao Beach, Samui Caravans features accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free private... A unique stay a bit further off the main attractions, but totally worth it. Directly behind the beach, you can stay in a comfortable caravan, equipped with bed, indoor and outdoor seating area, as well as their own toilets and separate showers. We really enjoyed staying here and especially the food was absolutely amazing. Try the Moo Kata (Thai BBQ), if you get the chance to! :-)
