Michel is the perfect host: always ready to help out and organize activities and with a deep knowledge of the region (his recommendations were always spot on). The sunset boat ride looking for beavers among the marshes and islands was definitely a highlight, as was the Québecois music evening around the grill teepee. The taste is eclectic and well sorted, which makes the Hébergement beautiful. Definitely worth staying more than one night to profit from all that the place offers. Please keep in mind that Québec is rather French-speaking: some knowledge of the language will get you much further.

Went to Orford for the eclipse. The Pods were terrific, living up to the ratings by previous visitors. The proprietor was friendly and helped us with any requests we had. There's a nice trail to a Sugaring Shack (about a mile) that we walked; a bit muddy with snow this time of year, but worth going. All in all we had a great time!

Set in Notre-Dame-du-Laus, 47 km from Mont Ste Marie, Yourtes Glamping du Poisson Blanc offers accommodation with water sports facilities, free private parking and a garden. Excellent glamping location. We stayed here for two nights during our road trip. Spacious with a short walk to the lake. The lake was warm enough for swimming. Convenient parking. Very quiet area, just like you'd imagine Canada in the wild. The accommodation had everything you need for a few days. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommendable.

Located within 15 km of Train Station Hotel La Ferme - Baie Saint Paul and 12 km of Municipal Golf Baie-Saint-Paul, Dômes Charlevoix provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in... the location was lovely, nice and quite peaceful except for the barking dog at 6am and the housebuilding at 7am. No noise from the other guests. The spa on the deck was very relaxing and the tent was very clean inside. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The BBQ were not clean. Kitchen had everything we needed for our own meal preparation for a few days. 2 minor requests/suggestions for guest comfort....Surely a Showel gel dispenser in the bathroom would be supplied everywhere these days and maybe a coffee pod machine would be more appropriate for than a drip filter machine?
