Michel was able to guide us for nice hikes, he also offered us to go kayaking departing from his terrain. The boat ride to see the beavers was lovely - he really has an eye to see them. The housing was very nice. We did one evening in a tipi and one evening in the 'le trappeur' chalet. The tipi is lovely, you can get away from the city - no electricity, just the noise of the stream and a camp fire. The chalet is also very nice - electricity inside and hot plates to cook. You still feel in the woods. It was overall a very nice stay. Would love to come back again.

Its purely beautiful and a bonus if your love Farm animal like us!

Isolated location, close to nature, very modern, high scale. Everything is set up to great looks and comfort. Very nice little kitchen, very well equipped. Very nice, fancy bathroom. Superb views and easy access. Access was easy, the staff was warm and helpful, even for after hours requests. Good curtain system, even for full panoramic windows everywhere, even in the ceiling.

The yurt was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and stocked with everything you could need. The staff and owners are very friendly and hospitable. The lake is pristine and quiet. We felt very much at home and relaxed. We are sure to return for another week next year.

Great place for a retreat located far from people and made in very simple "farm" style. Quiet and cosy, clean. Dog friendly. Owners were very nice. We didn't speak French and they didn't speak English, but Google translate and their hospitality made everything go just great.

I had such a great stay at Lac Castor! My hut was right on the lake and was well stocked with firewood and cooking utensils. It was a little more off-grid than I expected. It seems as though the huts lighting works from solar power only so the lights did start to cut out in the evening, there isn't much/any cell service and there weren't outlets to be able to charge my phone. The communal toilets however did have working outlets that could be used. But I would 100% stay here again! The site is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Being able to take a canoe out onto the lake at sunset was just magic! And the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend staying here!
