Went to Orford for the eclipse. The Pods were terrific, living up to the ratings by previous visitors. The proprietor was friendly and helped us with any requests we had. There's a nice trail to a Sugaring Shack (about a mile) that we walked; a bit muddy with snow this time of year, but worth going. All in all we had a great time!

Excellent glamping location. We stayed here for two nights during our road trip. Spacious with a short walk to the lake. The lake was warm enough for swimming. Convenient parking. Very quiet area, just like you'd imagine Canada in the wild. The accommodation had everything you need for a few days. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommendable.

Located in Saint-Paulin, 37 km from La Cite de l'Energie, Aux Berges du lac Castor provides accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking and a garden. I had such a great stay at Lac Castor! My hut was right on the lake and was well stocked with firewood and cooking utensils. It was a little more off-grid than I expected. It seems as though the huts lighting works from solar power only so the lights did start to cut out in the evening, there isn't much/any cell service and there weren't outlets to be able to charge my phone. The communal toilets however did have working outlets that could be used. But I would 100% stay here again! The site is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Being able to take a canoe out onto the lake at sunset was just magic! And the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend staying here!
