Everything! The staff is great. From breakfast to dinner, food was delicious. Everything in our cabin was meticulously thought to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely recommend doing the safari with them, we were so happy to have Koush as our ranger, he is a great guy and incredibly knowledgeable who made our experience unique!
For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
The hotel is in a peaceful and remote location out of town with clean and comfortable rooms .Lovely to sit and relax and watch the wildlife on lake and swim in the pool. Our dinner was delicious made with fresh fish caught from the lake in the afternoon. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our Host was great and organised the safari and our transport to and from Yala
We stayed in the deluxe room for three nights. The staff were exceptionally attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We took two safaris with Kumara and driver Saminda. Kumara is a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable and worked hard to find the leopards. Saminda is a skilled driver in tough terrain, and he made sure our jeep was in a good position for photographing the wildlife. We were well cared for by the Manager Pasindu who made sure our stay was perfect. We also had fun with Maluean who took amazing photos during our safari.
The owner Priya is an amazing host! He's super friendly and funny. He picked us up from the bus stop, welcomed us and in the evening gave a (free) tour of Lake Tissa, where he could tell us a lot about all the different kind of birds/animals we saw there! Next day we went on an awesome safari for a reasonable price, and saw a lot of wildlife!! Room was very clean and nice, great food. Would 100% recommend this place!
Great location on a big block of land next to a lake that had water buffalo in the afternoon. Nice pool to cool off in, the room was tidy with a/c and fan that worked well. The staff could not do enough for you and the highlight was the prepared meals, delicious food and large serves at a very cheap price. We also did a Yala safari from there which was organised by the manager Dilipa where we saw heaps of wildlife including a leopard and bear. We loved our stay and highly recommended it.
Perfect room with bathroom that was very clean, great mosquito net and very comfy bed
Very friendly staff, took us on a free wildlife spotting tour of the lake on day of arrival and the free breakfast was huge
The staff also arranged free pickup and drop off to bus station and also took me to the local restaurant for free
Booked safari through the property and it was a great safari with very friendly guide
Would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to visit Yala
It was an amazing location with a veranda overlooking the lake. Perfect for wildlife watching
They provided a good breakfast to take away on safari. Nothing was too much trouble
Everything, Thd best place we stayed ,we didn't want to leave we only stayed two nights wish we stayed longer the safari with the villa was really good and we saw two leopards and Mother and baby Elephant the staff are amazing we also did thd dinner under the stars which is a must do, all meals we ate there were great ,heading up the watch tower for sunset was a highlight of our stay so much wildlife truly amazing experience Paradise !!
I really enjoyed staying at the river side cabanas for two nights. The location is amazing, directly on the river, with nature around, but also close to bus stations. The dorm had 6 big double beds with mosquito nets and two bathrooms. Also the place to chill out with hammocks downstairs is nice.
I’ve done the safari with them, where they also included a drive around the lakes the previous day and dropped me of close to the bus when I left, thank you for that! Lovely family taking care of all that and trying their best to fit all your needs 😄
Early Jan 2024 - very nice place, great value for money, nice communal spaces with hammocks, room very clean and comfortable. They were just reopening after a 1 year closure, pool was being refilled when we arrived. Great views all around, nice to be away from the bustle of other places. Good base for a yala safari. Very hot showers and nice bathroom. It is as good as it looks in the pictures, we would stay again definitely.
Local Bat trees, standing stones and archaeological museum all 5 minutes away (by tuktuk).
The property was set in lovely grounds with a nice sized pool. Our room was spacious and cool with a big bathroom with an open ceiling, and we had a nice veranda to sit on for a drink at sunset. The restaurant served western and Sri Lankan food and accommodated my vegan meal requests. They arranged a morning safari for us which was great!
