Even before I had my accident, where I broke my collarbone, this was a fabulous place to stay. A beautiful house and garden in a quiet neighbourhood. Near the railway station (not noisy.) Good Italian restaurant just 8 minute's walk. When I experienced an unfortunate accident, Gunther and his wife Maria drove 60 minutes up and down a local mountain to recover my bicycle and car. They also took me to the hospital and collected me afterward. For the next two days they looked after me as I needed - and even cooked me evening meals. Gunther and Maria are exceedingly kind people, and I was very lucky to choose this place to stay.

Maison Junod ligger i Romainmôtier, 33 km från Lausanne järnvägsstation, och erbjuder utsikt över staden. I've been to Romainmotiers several times in my life, but have never spent the night there. I'm so glad that I did on this trip. My room was "The Rose Room" - on the 2nd floor overlooking the town roofs and main street. It was in a historic building, light and airy, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully organized. It was a 3-room suite, with a separate bathroom, and entry hall. The bathtub was so cozy and relaxing. Dora, the owner, was so friendly and helpful, bringing me a picnic basket full of breakfast treats in the morning. I loved, loved, loved the whole experience of staying in this special, extraordinary place and will be back. Thank you to Dora!!
