We just finished our 3 day stay in Mafia and at Mafia Island Bungalows : it was a lovely stay, all-round : beautiful space for the house, comfortable terrace, perfect bedroom (Upendo - very nicely decorated with local flair, loved it), great bathroom… everything fine! The place is overall very quiet as it sits a little away from the road at the entrance of the Marine Park. We did not meet the owners, who where on a trip off the island : however, they took the time to check-in with us every single day, and it was much appreciated. We also would like to adress a great shout out to the staff : Hassan was very available, without being « too present » / just the right balance; and there is an amazing Chef on premises: we loved the breakfasts and even more the diners! The homemade bread and Chapatis, the soups, the mains and the deserts… everything was delicious ! Well done, we whole-heartedly recommend staying with you when visiting Mafia and hope to come again one day ☺️

Located in Kilindoni and only 6.1 km from Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve, Maweni CoralBay Beach Villa provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was very fine - even if the accommodation is not yet perfect and still missing some finalization. But I was very happy at your place and I can recommend Maweni absolutly especially for guests just coming by ferry boat as you could reach Maweni in a couple of minutes by food, as well very close to the Mafia airport. All the nice food and the taking care of everything I really appreciated. I was very amazed about the taking care of the beach and the garden every day, the view and the nice and open location. Me and my boyfriend stayed at mafia beach bungalows for 7 days and had the best experience! The bungalows are just at the beach, the beach both have the really cool mangroves and good swim opportunities. The place is located a 10 minutes walk from Utende village which we liked very much since we could choose when we wanted to have a more relaxed time or more activity. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious! I can really recommend eating at the hotel! The best with our stay was the beautiful location but also the very friendly and helpful staff! They were happy to help us with anything we needed and we felt very welcomed. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Mafia!

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Pool was great and plenty of lounge chairs with sun and shade. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast made to order and plentiful. Dinners also tasty.
