We just finished our 3 day stay in Mafia and at Mafia Island Bungalows : it was a lovely stay, all-round : beautiful space for the house, comfortable terrace, perfect bedroom (Upendo - very nicely decorated with local flair, loved it), great bathroom… everything fine! The place is overall very quiet as it sits a little away from the road at the entrance of the Marine Park. We did not meet the owners, who where on a trip off the island : however, they took the time to check-in with us every single day, and it was much appreciated. We also would like to adress a great shout out to the staff : Hassan was very available, without being « too present » / just the right balance; and there is an amazing Chef on premises: we loved the breakfasts and even more the diners! The homemade bread and Chapatis, the soups, the mains and the deserts… everything was delicious ! Well done, we whole-heartedly recommend staying with you when visiting Mafia and hope to come again one day ☺️

Everything was very fine - even if the accommodation is not yet perfect and still missing some finalization. But I was very happy at your place and I can recommend Maweni absolutly especially for guests just coming by ferry boat as you could reach Maweni in a couple of minutes by food, as well very close to the Mafia airport. All the nice food and the taking care of everything I really appreciated. I was very amazed about the taking care of the beach and the garden every day, the view and the nice and open location. The rooms were very nice, with a fan and mosquito net. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was top notch. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The food was also delicious. The scenery and beach with the mangroves was beautiful.

Butiama Bustani Hotel tiene vistas al jardín y se encuentra en Kilindoni. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de traslado gratuito, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. El personal es genial! Todos muy amables, hay mucha tranquilidad que es lo que necesitábamos después de estar en Zanzíbar. Tienen un perrito, Pablo, que es un amor, te acompaña pero no te acosa (y si no te gustan los perros tampoco se va contigo). El desayuno es muy completo y el resto de comidas también riquísimas y precios más que asequibles. Es ideal para hacer excursiones durante el día o medio día (nadar con tiburones ballena o hacer snorkel pero tienen muchas más actividades) y luego relajarse, del transporte se encargan ellos. Hay aire acondicionado lo que se agradece y puedes lavar la ropa sin costo adicional. Nosotros tenemos claro que de venir a Mafia de nuevo, repetimos.
