The location is lovely, in a beautiful village near Matmata. Perfect for a stop on the way south or as a base for exploring the area. The dinner and breakfast is exceptional, and served in the owners' gorgeous cave dining room that is stuffed with local wines, olive oils, honey and more. Really, there isn't a thing to fault - the owners mentioned long careers in hospitality before they opened L'Auberge and it shows - from the way the rooms have been set up to the bedding, everything is thought through. Strongly reccomend a visit!

With mountain views, Au Trait d'Union Tijma Matmata is set in Matmata and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. The staff were friendly and accommodating with serving us breakfast despite it being Ramadan. This is such a neat place to stay. Be sure to check out the guest book and photo album in the dining room. I will definitely bring family and friends here again!
