Room was very clean and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. Big shoutout to Jorge who was our lovely receptionist, maintenance man, cleaner, and server. He was kind enough to unlock our room at 9:30pm after I accidentally locked us out. Hotel is along a major trucking route, but the hotel makes this very clear and it wasn’t a surprise. Pretty much everywhere along this route has been affected by the Tren Maya construction. Noise was covered up by A/C which was awesome. Private parking is a great bonus. Such a cute place and great access to Calakmul. We also loved the covered patio and spent evening out there listening to the crickets.

Our stay at Otoch Béek was perfect! The cottage was comfortable, had AC, a hot shower, large bed with a mosquito net, and a fridge. The owner was very friendly and gave us great recommendations regarding visiting Calakmul (the starting checkpoint is a 45 minute drive away) and where to go for dinner (Xpujil is a 10 minute drive away and has many great restaurants). We were provided with some snacks for our early morning trip to Calakmul and the next day when we woke a bit later, a delicious breakfast with coffee. Fantastic!

The house and the room had so much charm, it's super quiet and the hosts were absolutely lovely. The breakfast was very good and it was just a short walk to the center.
