My wife and I spent 7 days at Mailagama Cinnamon Residence. The hotel is located in a very beautiful and quiet place in the middle of green rice fields. We loved to walk and there were many routes around - there were large lakes nearby. You meet very few people, just many-many peacocks or a lonely lizard. The hotel is nice looking and comfortable. Our room was clean and large. There was very good hot water pressure, probably the best of the 9 hotels in Sri Lanka where we stayed. Terrace with beautiful views of the surrounding area. There was a large space for working on a laptop, doing yoga and meditation, with fans running. As we are freelancers it was essential for us. We were delighted with the food cooked by two very kind ladies. The hotel manager was incredibly attentive to all our needs, very punctual and obliging. We were also glad to meet the hotel owners. Indira and her husband showed us their cinnamon plantations. It is not like in numerous “Spice gardens”, where they try to sell tourists cinnamon at an increased price. There was a small family production here, which was specially shown to us. You can buy cinnamon, but no one imposes it. We bought some as gifts for our friends. And we were also very grateful to our hosts for driving us along the highway. Within half an hour we met 3 elephants, a herd of buffalo and deer. And this was not a nature reserve, but an ordinary road. On another day we went on a safari to Yala Park. We saw 3 leopards, wild pigs and many other animals. The safari was booked through the hotel, the price was quite normal. Overall, this is one of the best hotels in terms of price-quality. Many people only stay for a day to go on safari, but this place deserves more. We are going to return here next year and recommend this hotel to everyone who likes nature

Lake Front Yala Safari ligger i Kataragama, 18 km fra Tissa Wewa og 18 km fra Situlpawwa, og har have og søudsigt. Overnatningsstedet har balkon, gratis privat parkering og gratis wi-fi. An amazing property and family. The room was huge and spacious with fan and AC and the bathroom was big. The whole property was very clean and tidy. The owner, his wife and daughter were lovely and made us so welcome. The daughters English is fantastic and she loves to practice it with you. This has to be the best place we stayed in 16 days in Sri Lanka. If you are doing a safari to Yala then this place is so close to the entrance (closer thank Tisso) and the owner can organise a jeep at a very good price. The owners wife even allowed me to watch and help her cook our dinner in her kitchen. The food was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place.

Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

Boasting garden views, Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from Buduruwagala Temple. Clean room, comfy bread, great breakfast. Owner was lovely and took me on a walk in the mountains

Humbhaha jungle nature eco resort ligger ca. 18 km fra Situlpawwa og har søudsigt, gratis cykler, have og grillfaciliteter. Ejendommen blev bygget i 2017 og har værelser med aircondition og terrasse. Er du på jagt efter noget unikt, er dette lige stedet. Det er originalt, anderledes og specielt. Western blandet med 60-ernes hippe (inkl hvad det indebær af sjov tobak til personalet). Med et så unikt, hjemmebygget sted, kunne man ønske, ejer var ærlig omkring, hvad man booker. Læs de knap så gode anmeldelser. Selv om ejeren påstår noget andet i de arrogante og halv-aggressive svar, er de alle retvisende.

Safari Lodge Yala ligger i Kataragama, 2,3 km fra Kataragama-templet og 16 km fra Lunugamvehera Nationalpark. Der er restaurant og udsigt til haven. Der er gratis WiFi. Great place to stay before/after doing a Yala safari. They were very helpful in organising a safari for us and breakfast to take with us on the safari. The room was clean and comfortable. Surrounded by nature. Less than 10 minute drive to town centre.

It's a family trip. Superb place. Friendly Staff. Awesome weather condition. Not too far from Katharagama Dewalaya. We also enjoy my trip.

Lavista Holiday Bungalow ligger i Wellawaya, 24 km fra Demodara Nine Arch Bridge og 16 km fra Ella Rock. Der er have og bjergudsigt. The hosts are friendly and kind. We booked at the late night since our schedule changed suddenly. They were still welcoming us and offering us the cozy room. They cooked delicious food for us! The best food that I ever ate so far in Sri Lanka!!😚 They even brought us to Ella city to walk around together and treated us the meal! Feel so lucky and grateful to stay in this fantastic place! Highly recommend!!!👍👍👍

Saranga Holiday Inn ligger i Wellawaya, 32 km fra Demodara Nine Arch Bridge og 9,1 km fra Buduruwagala-templet. Der er have og rolig gadeudsigt. I loved it. It actually costs more to use the Aircon but I didn't need it, even though it was the hottest time of year and I nap at noon. The hotel is surrounded by a Garden, which keeps it cool. I loved this town, surrounded by lots of pretty rural roads to wander. The staff were really kind and the location was perfect, a short walk from the bus station.
