Walk across the road to Unawatuna beach. Close to multiple eateries and shops. Large rooms, and large bath/toilets. There are only 6 rooms in a large property, so not crowded or rushed during breakfast or at the pool. The pool. The large verandah outside rooms. Great hosts. They make you feel at home.

Offering a garden and garden view, Samba Ahangama is situated in Ahangama, 100 metres from Ahangama Beach and 1.7 km from Midigama Beach. I liked the setup and the staff. It was also close to the beach and was easily accessible.

Located just less than 1 km from Hikkaduwa Beach, Guruge villa offers accommodation in Hikkaduwa with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. A genuinely friendly guy named Guruge owns this homestay. The villa seems like it's in the jungle, but it's very close to the bus and train stations. I just spent a week relaxing at the nearby beach, biking around Hikkaduwa, and preparing simple meals in the villa's kitchen. The managers really make you feel welcomed. Waking up to the dawn chorus of exotic birds in the surrounding trees is one thing I'll remember, along with relaxing on the veranda with a good book (more often, with my phone). So glad I could take time off to get over busy days of traveling.

Offering a garden and sea view, Sea View Villa Bentota, Induruwa is situated in Induruwa, 200 metres from Induruwa Beach and 300 metres from Bentota Beach. Located just right on the beach, you can see the ocean from the room. The room was clean, hot water, A/C was working. The breakfast was very good. If you have any preferences in the way of cooking, you can ask the guys and they will try to do all the best for you. The beach is very nice and empty. Nothing to do around, but if you are exhausted and want just to have a rest in peace and quiet-this is the perfect place for you.

STUTHI VILLA is situated in Ahangama and has a pool with a view and pool views. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. I had a beautiful room with an outdoor shower which I loved. The garden is a real oasis with interesting wildlife to spot and it was really relaxing to spend some time by the pool before walking down to the beach. The garden here is really special and the architecture of the building is beautiful. The staff were super attentive.

Attractively situated in Galle, Brixia Cafe & Guest features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. This property was fantastic. The room was massive, very clean, beautifully decorated, great bathroom. I also had a massive balcony which was great to chill on in the evening. The location was perfect - just a 5 min walk to the Fort area. The owners were so kind and friendly. Breakfast was delightful.

Situated in the centre of Galle, 400 metres from Galle Fort Beach, the historic Arches Fort features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. I like everything about this place. When I checked in, I got ice lemon tea as a welcome drink. It made me feel so good. The staff were very friendly and very well taken care of the clients. I got the room on the second floor on the nature side which was very quiet. The room was so nice and super clean. Bed, pillow, kettle, A/C and TV. The breakfast was delicious. They served buffalo curd with honey, I like it very much. The location is perfect. Highly recommend!
