The host is incredibly hospitable , friendly and humerous. I had an awesome stay while visiting Mt Fuji. The breakfast was different every morning, and each time it was delicious and wholesome. The House was spotless and very beautifully furnished.

Located just 14 km from Fuji-Q Highland, Ryosha Tsukiakari features accommodation in Yamanakako with access to free bikes, a terrace, as well as luggage storage space. We arrived in the evening and hence didn't manage to enjoy the day time. From the exterior, it looks like a very cosy home. And from the moment I walked in, I feel the warmth of the furnace which was truly welcoming. There are two bath area where one operates from 5pm to 10pm (which you need to book in advanced and it will be solely dedicated to you and the other operates 24 hours a day and you are allowed to lock the room so that you don't have to share with other occupants unlike other hotels / accommodation in Japan. So to save time, both me and my husband were able to use the bathroom at the same time. The TV room has an awesome projector on the ceiling with Disney+, Netflix, YouTube etc. However you will need to book it in advanced for a 2 hours window. It has a coin-operated washing machine and dryer if you need to wash your clothes. Our room is the bedded type and it is bigger than those in Tokyo and it has a toilet and sink in the room. It was so warm and cosy and I wish I can stay in bed longer. The breakfast was a simple, salad, a cut of persimmons, sandwich and some spagetti and you have a choice to select 1 hot drink. Guest House Zen is a beachfront property situated in Yamanakako, 18 km from Fuji-Q Highland and 21 km from Lake Kawaguchi. Host was very helpful and accommodating!

Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Guest House 合歓木（ねむ） is set in Hokuto, 41 km from Canora Hall and 34 km from Kamisuwa Station. Beautiful peaceful guesthouse with everything you may need. The owner is a lovely lady who was incredibly helpful.

晴家(HALELUYA) Guest House in Fujikawaguchiko provides adults-only accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace. I absolutely adored the style and decor of the house. It felt very special to be able to see how traditional meets modern, real life in this part of Japan. The family was so lovely and the whole area was just magical!

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. Absolutely nice place! The owner is handsome and helpful, he has a lot of traveling stories to share and offers free shuttle to kawaguchiko station. Bike rental is also really convenient and cheap.

Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka. It was a really nice hostel where you can meet other travellers. It's homely and very comfortable compared to most hostels in Japan. The kitchen and living room area were lovely after so many hostels that had a cold atmosphere. Likewise the big spacious dormitory was great after cramped ones anywhere else I'd been.

Offering garden views, Daikokuya Mt.Fuji is an accommodation located in Fujiyoshida, 7.5 km from Lake Kawaguchi and 23 km from Mount Fuji. Gorgeous small house in a fantastic location very close to mount Fuji. The owner and her cute dog are both amazing, and very helpful when we ran into a hiccup with our rental car. The house really feels like a home away from home and is very comfortable. It has its own toilet but a shared bathroom just steps across from the house through a small landscaped garden.
