It's the perfect place if you want to prepare to climb Mt Fuji or explore the area. The owner has a lot of useful tips and made my trip much more worthwhile.

Guest House Zen is a beachfront property situated in Yamanakako, 18 km from Fuji-Q Highland and 21 km from Lake Kawaguchi. A Beautiful, serene and magical place. Waking up here at 5 a.m. to see the fog roll over the mountain Infront of the glassy lake is a dream come true! The host was very kind and helpful and provided us a space to park for our rental car. The facilities was also very clean and the kitchen is complete for any type of food preparing activity. There are also blanket heaters provided for sleep. A traditional house which is comfortable to stay. I do hope there is some communication or guide a bit when we arrive/leave because we are not sure if it was ok to just barge in since the host was not around to receive us, but it was not too much of a problem since we did informed him we would arrive late and he came later that night to greet us and ensure we are settle in. Overall it was an experience that i will never forget staying there and I hope to come again in the future.

The owner is absolutely gorgeous & so helpful! He went out his way to offer us a lift to the station once for our Fuji climb and once for our train to Kyoto, he printed out the bus instructions for us, He let us in slightly early after our climb for check in too! We loved how authentic and cosy it was - additionally he let us leave our bags with him whilst we slept overnight on the mountain. Views of Fuji from our balcony too! Aircon works lovely & he offered a free drink to everyone per night in the fridge. He goes out of his way which was just spectacular. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

晴家(HALELUYA) Guest House in Fujikawaguchiko provides adults-only accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace. This was the nicest stay among many other places I’ve been to this summer in Japan. The guesthouse is super clean, bright and cozy. Above all, the host is such a kind and caring person, I’ve felt like at home 💗☀️

Featuring a shared lounge, Hana Hostel Fujisan is set in Yoshida. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, and buying tickets for guests. The hosts are so lovely and kind, we spent two nights with our almost 2 year old son and it was amazing. They were so nice to our kid, lending him toys and he was very happy! We had the family room and the futons were comfortable and we had a lot of space! Everything was clean and the common areas very welcoming with tea snacks eggs and more. It felt like home 😊 We were sad to leave so quickly

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. The staff was very nice ! I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the place. Would visit again!

Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka. Charming hostel with cozy common places, great kitchen and the Fuji-san view from the balcony! Clean rooms, all necessary kitchen tools and city bikes to rent. It was great to ride across the lake (the rental is cheaper than near the lake beach). Friendly and helpful owners! Best hostel ever)

Offering garden views, Daikokuya Mt.Fuji is an accommodation located in Fujiyoshida, 7.5 km from Lake Kawaguchi and 23 km from Mount Fuji. Very authentic and beautiful property. Very clean bathrooms and lots of amenities. Very helpful and kind host.
