They place incense, which gives it a very pleasant atmosphere. An extraordinary experience to rest in a Ryokan in a magical destination. Kousu Ke takes care of the property and was an extraordinary person, kind and very helpful. He solved a problem for me with the shipment of a package that he had lost at a destination prior to our arrival, and made sure I received it at my next destination. There cannot be a better host. The location is unbeatable, a couple of blocks from the main street. Walking to the bay took you through the little streets of traditional houses, and you could see the residents going about their daily lives.

The place is FILLED with cats!! The cats are healthy, friendly, playful, and gentle. When it was time to sleep, they joined us on the futons but did not annoy us. If you're sensitive to noise it might be a little noisy, but I found it relaxing, and it reminded me of my cat back home. The owner is unbelievably kind, and I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. If you are a cat lover, please stay here!
