We really loved our stay at Le Farmhouse in Munnar. The owner, Gabriel, made our stay extremely comfortable, making us delicious breakfasts, drinks and organizing all of our tours and transport for us. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The homestay is situated in a quiet area of the town, surrounded by beautiful nature, but still only 60 rupees into town in a tucktuck We hope to stay again sometime!

Our stay was magical. During the 3 nights here we ended up loving staying with this family. They were always super hospitable with us, invited us to have meals with them and we chatted about everything. Sylvia is an amazing strong woman and a master chef. She makes delicious food and is very good at adapting the taste to our liking. We also did one tour with her around Munnar and had a blast spending a day with her. They also have a very good cooking class and other hiking tours. We loved the views from their beautiful balcony to the mountains and the tea plantations. The room is also very clean and cosy. This is the real homestay experience. You'll be welcomed like family and will leave filled with food and love.

I liked everything about this small guesthouse. To start off, Aparna is the best hostess you could ever ask for. A very warm, welcoming and funny lady. I feel we became friends by the end of my week stay. Next, you basically have a private huge beach a short nice walk away which was a treasure. Then there is the delicious cooking. Each morning I got to try some very Kerela authentic breakfast items, which I greatly enjoyed. I specifically came to see the Thayyam ( Google it, they are super unique and cool to this region of Kerela) and Aparna - was able to arrange a great driver/guide to bring me to see them. You can also see black pepper, cinnamon, curry, tamarind, mangoes, pineapples and jack fruit all growing on the property! Ivory Coaste is the perfect place to relax and decompress. Especially if you’ve been traveling a long while like I had been doing. Also, there was a great mix of guests from around the world, so it was great exchanging stories with them. All in all, my time spent here was one of the highlights from my 2 months in India!
