The old palace is a marvelous place to stay at. The host family is very lovely and supportive. The rooms are very nicely renovated and keep the character of the old house while offering modern amenities.

The haveli is one of the best examples of a traditional house in the heritage city and is in very good condition and staying here takes you back in time. highly recommended!

Offering a garden and pool view, Classic Dineout is set in Gandhinagar, 15 km from Sardar Patel Stadium and 20 km from Gandhi Ashram. The location is quaint and great for a long stay. The owner of the house is very supportive and provides with tasty breakfast. We had idli, poha, paratha and tea.

As a solo female traveller from the UK, it was important for me to feel safe and comfortable where I was staying. Shiv Sai Dormitory exceeded my expectations, as I not only felt safe and comfortable, but the owner was very hospitable. He was polite and helpful and even offered to drop me off to some places locally when I needed to go somewhere. Offers of masala chai was a nice touch from the owner too. The room itself was kept clean at all times, had fans and AC, and the beds were comfortable too, with ample space to store and secure luggage within the bed. Access to use the kitchen was useful, with free filtered drinking water available. To top it off, the location was central, near to the shopping areas as well as the railway station, which made it easy to travel around. I have stayed here a few times now and will do so when visiting in the future and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Vadodara.
