The location is near the centre and easy to reach from the train station by foot, too. The room was very spacious and clean. The highlight was the spacious bathroom with its bathtub! Even there is no staff at the check in, we felt very welcomed by the mails in advance and the self-check-in went smooth! Questions were answered in a short time! The breakfast was generous for continental, from pancake, boiled eggs, crumpets to croissants and cereals. We loved that there was vegan options as oatmilk or fresh fruits too. Also we could store our luggage in the breakfast room after check out, which was convenient. Thanks for a nice stay!

The room was absolutely spotless, lovely roll top bath in a large bathroom, comfortable bed and room really well appointed. Lovely food in the bar also. Right in the centre of town.

Perfect location for our overnight stay on the way back to Manchester Airport. Lovely old country pub that had been renovated to a high standard. We also dined in that night and had the most delicious steak and guiness pie. Highly recommended.
