Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

From Sam’s welcome until the time I left, I felt comfortable and at ease. Sam has created an ambience to be envied, and ensured the room was warm and welcoming on a cold windy night. Providing a broad selection of cereals, fruit, etc for breakfast, the tea blend is spot-on.....and properly made in a decent teapot with proper milk...absolute bonus!!
I am working on returning for a few more days as soon as I can.

Breakfast was very good and prepared individually to each of our preferences. Add to this that Weymouth is a very nice little beach town on the beautiful Jurassic Coast. I hope to return and highly recommend staying at their lovely property.
Dorchester

The unit we stayed in was built in 1660 and has a thatched roof. I was very interested in this and the hosts were very friendly and willing to tell me about the thatch. I learned a lot.

Great night's sleep followed by a fantastic cooked breakfast , all of the farms produce. Sausages and bacon were delicious. Thanks again for a great stay and will definitely return.

This is a fabulous B&B: great location, free/private parking, spacious rooms, lovely breakfast and hospitable owners. The rooms in particular are excellent with little but appreciated extras such as a fridge, proper milk, orange juice and fresh fruit on arrival. Clean, comfortable and value for money - we would definitely stay here again.

I always rate accommodation according to the price I paid this was a relatively cheap hotel so not expecting luxury. Quick check in and efficient friendly staff. The room was smallish clean but adequate room, good natural light and bedside lights you could read by. The bed was comfortable and the location seems quiet but I am hard of hearing. There was a wardrobe two chairs and a desk. A kettle and instant coffee plus long life milk. Breakfast was basic but ok. the location was good particularly for the harbour. I would stay again.
Great location. Private, but the owner was on hand and kindly waited up for our late night arrival. Very comfortable, homely & immaculately clean. Tea, coffee, juice, milk and breakfast cereals, croissant, butter, jams provided. No microwave, but a toaster, hot plate and pan in the kitchenette. Very quiet and restful. A great host. A lot of thought and attention to detail in the equipping of this spacious cabin. Perfect for the 2 of us and our adult son joining us for a night on the sofa bed.
