We needed information on restaurants and local activities and she gave us clear and helpful directions. She also gave us extra help and information that we didn't know. Her breakfast was outstanding. We could have easily stayed another night.

One of the nicest stop over places I've ever stayed. Perfect in every way. Comfortable, convenient, would recommend it, and hosts are really welcoming too. Always travelled down south and back without stopping over!! Not any more now we have found this gem of a place.

Great dinner right across the street and delicious breakfast around the corner. There is a food store to stock up and a bakery for an extra goodie! It was the perfect first night on our WHW hike!

The Inn is beautiful and has been renovated very well. Room was spacious light and very cosy. The staff were exceptional, friendly and efficient. The meals were excellent dinner and breakfast. The village is gorgeous and should be very proud of the work that has been done on the inn…. Just a wonderful little gem.

They both were so friendly. The breakfast was very Scottish and a lot of variety. The view out of the back door is gorgeous, with sheep roaming around in the fields all around and mountains far down in the distance!

Birchwood Guest Lodge offers air-conditioned accommodation in Balmaha. Free WiFi and freee parking is available at the property. The rooms gave out a unique atmosphere of coziness. We liked the unique way the beds were turning from sofas to beds, but we would also love it if they were a little wider. The room was spacious enough, and so was the internal private bathroom. The owners seemed friendly and caring.
