One of the nicest stop over places I've ever stayed. Perfect in every way. Comfortable, convenient, would recommend it, and hosts are really welcoming too. Always travelled down south and back without stopping over!! Not any more now we have found this gem of a place.

Dinner was nice experience because it was served in the pub ( becuase of the quize night ). Lots of locals around.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Altskeith Country House is set in Aberfoyle, 10 km from Loch Katrine and 15 km from Lake of Menteith. We had a wonderful time at Altskeith Country House. Beautiful location, charming friendly host. The best food that we had in Scotland. Full Scottish Breakfast was delicious, and dinner was amazing. The fish and chips we had were the best I've ever tasted. I recommend everyone to eat in this place. We were pleasantly surprised by the location with multiple outdoor activities.
