Beautiful pool to relax the body and fantastic local wine and juice to regenerate the soul .. platter highly recommend rather than going into village as all local produce used and well explained. Don’t think twice if you’re lucky to get a room .. book it !!

A lovely place hosted by a very friendly couple, Phillipe and Marie-Odile. The rooms were very stylish and very clean. There was a south facing balcony looking out on the lovely garden. It’s located within a few minutes walk of the Old Town. A very nice breakfast was provided with homemade fruit pies and homemade yogurt. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts - they spoke good English and helped us to decide where to visit in the town. Good value too.

We stayed here at the end of September. A beautifully restored home and very lovingly decorated with everything you need. The bedroom is s great size and the bed is very comfortable, with lovely pillows and bedding. The room has a lot of natural light and is very quiet. The aircon was great and quiet. There was a large TV with netflix available. A wardrobe and bedside tables. Lots of power points. The bathroom is large and has a big shower with a rain and hand held shower. Lots of hot water. Nice fluffy towels. The fixtures and fittings are very good quality and it is all very new. Frederic and Malika are wonderful hosts and made sure that we had a list of restaurants and instructions about walking into the city center, which is not far. We drove to Vichy and were able to park onsite, a real bonus and the parking is secure. The breakfast is superb! Everything was fresh and lots of homemade products, including chocolate brownies, straight from the oven. Freshly made coffee, juice, pastries, bread, toasted brioche, homemade cereal and freshly chopped individual bowls of fruit salad, yogurt, jams and much more. Frederic and Malika obviously love what they are doing and it shows.

It felt like we were stepping into some magical cottage, tucked away in beautiful countryside on the cusp of a forest and full of light and warmth in those times of Christmas festivities. Peter and Mario are the most charming hosts and made us feel wonderfully welcome. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. We will absolutely come back!

Château du Grand Luçay is an amazing gem!! Pieter and Elise are generous hosts, they welcomed use into there home and we felt more like visiting friends. They had a lovely reception of wine, drinks and snacks for us when we arrived. The maintained the charm of the Château but added a few modern conveniences. The bathrooms were incredible, new and modern. After 2 weeks from home the bed was luxurious and so comfortable. We loved their dog Bella who was very patient we our puppy Hans. The breakfast was beyond delicious, amazing cheeses, cold meat selection, and pastries, with all the extras. Our children were in heaven. We will definitely be returning, hopefully soon!!
