Great location, very easy to get to from the bus station; 5-10 minute walk from the Kursaal/beach and 3 minutes from wide variety of bars and eating places. 1st floor room (with private bathroom) was clean, spacious and quiet and the pension itself was small, relaxed and easy-going. Simple check-in procedures using WhatsApp and the host is contactable if needed (we didn't). For a one-star pension, this is a very good choice.

This is a really nice room in the private flat of Pedro and Maria. The room is super nice with a bathroom inside, and there is access to a fridge, and coffee. Pedro & Maria were excellent hosts, super friendly and helpful with tips to the city and suggestions for restaurants. They also offer the option of parking in the buildings parking lot for a fee that is cheaper than public parking garages. The flat is located super centrally right at the river between Gros and the Old City, but is facing the inner court and is super quiet.

We liked the quiet location, closeness to the bus station, the quirkiness, boutique style, cleanliness and decent facilities such as a kitchen for making capsule coffee and teas, fridges and fresh fruit out out for the guests and a lounge area. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Great host, he saved my life by borrowing a computer charger! He also gives to all guests a transportation card that makes it so easy and cheap to get to Bilbao city centre. The room was big and nice, many books inside. Big courtyard with animals.
