Featuring a garden, Eco Guest House - Sarapiquí 1 is situated in Sarapiquí, within 35 km of La Paz Waterfall Gardens and 38 km of Catarata Tesoro Escondido. This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Featuring garden views, Brisas del Aeropuerto Airport Breezes inn features accommodation with free bikes and a terrace, around 40 km from Poas National Park. The Breakfast was fantastic and very generous. They were very helpful and went out of the way to accommodate myself and my Pappion Pet that also got along with her 2 furry family members. I've been visiting CR for over 15 years and after finding her beautiful warm home and great home and the positive atmosphere and the location is very beautiful And very Safe with a security shack at the entrance. And the location is the best I never felt not safe at any one moment. She also owns and operates an excellent restaurant very close to her home. She can accommodate large retreats or corporate get aways..it was so great I have extended my stay for that reason only. I hope this helps you decide. Pura Vida

Offering mountain views, Apart Céntrico con vista is an accommodation situated in Heredia, 10 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 15 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. Location was perfect and the view is amazing. The hosts are wonderful. When I arrived there was no water as the City had apparently turned it off for maintenance. I did not handle it well as I'd had a long day and just wanted to take a shower and go to bed. The hosts were more tolerant and gracious than I deserved. The water did return and all was well.

Located in San Isidro and only 19 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park, Suite y Loft Casa Toría provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Wonderful place to stay! Even though we arrived very late they still had a plate of yummy food for us :) The owners are very friendly and the garden is lovely. From the room you can even spot some hummingbirds. Breakfast was perfect. All in all we definitely recommend!
