Featuring a garden, Eco Guest House - Sarapiquí 1 is situated in Sarapiquí, within 35 km of La Paz Waterfall Gardens and 38 km of Catarata Tesoro Escondido. This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Jungla Urbana, BnB is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Pavas, 46 km from Poas National Park. Lovely, brand new furnishings, beautiful details throughout. The patio was wonderful for breakfast and a great place to do work. This place is an excellent value for the money paid. Will stay here again.

Offering mountain views, Apart Céntrico con vista is an accommodation situated in Heredia, 10 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 15 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. Location was perfect and the view is amazing. The hosts are wonderful. When I arrived there was no water as the City had apparently turned it off for maintenance. I did not handle it well as I'd had a long day and just wanted to take a shower and go to bed. The hosts were more tolerant and gracious than I deserved. The water did return and all was well.

This island on the Puerto Viejo River offers charming rooms with balconies, overlooking the tropical rainforest of Sarapiqui. Big comfortable room and bed. The beautiful gardens were stunning with paths around the flowers, plants and trees. We saw many colorful birds and heard several howler monkeys. Dinner was offered and was delicious.

Located in San Isidro and only 19 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park, Suite y Loft Casa Toría provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This accommodation is located in a quiet and nice area and it is reachable from the airport within one hour. We stayed there just for one night after our arrival from Europe to break the trip to the Carribbean coast. A perfect choice. They serve a tasty dinner and delicious breakfast with extremely good coffee. Very nice and helpful owners.
