Situated in Fortuna, 2.7 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Chongos Place features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Stayed here two nights and it was a perfect relaxing spot. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in the small kitchen. The bed is comfortable with good quality sheets and blankets. There is a TV with Netflix for the evenings and the wifi works well. AC is cool and shower is hot. The grounds are beautiful and the small pool was refreshing. The weather was cloudy most of the time we stayed but we did get a quick peek of the volcano. It’s RIGHT THERE. What a beautiful view! I spent a lot of time reading on the small terrace and bird watching. It is a bit out of La Fortuna, but we had a rental car and it was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

Situated in Alajuela City, 31 km from Poas National Park, Alexander b&b features recently renovated accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. Very friendly hosts, very quiet and a good nights sleep after alot of travelling. will be staying again and highly recommend Alexander B&B. Great breakfast and coffee too.

Il Lajuela bnb & Hostel sorge ad Alajuela, a 800 m dallo Stadio Alejandro Morera Soto, a meno di 1 km dal centro commerciale City Mall Alajuela e a 7 km dallo Zoo Ave. Laura is a wonderful host and I really felt like home at her house. She's always there, downstairs, if you need help with anything. It was very interesting to talk to her and learn about life in Costa Rica as these were my first nights after arriving. I was impressed with how well she decorated the house all with her own hands! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and always very fresh - Laura makes that a priority, so you have to tell her when you'll want to have your breakfast and she'll prepare it at the right time just for you. I didn't have any specific plans for the day so she was flexible and agreed to cook it whenever I woke up, I just had to ask 20 minutes in advance. Instead of pre-cooking the breakfast she still made a point of always cooking fresh, which I think is great hospitality. There's not too much to do in Alajuela, but I enjoyed just walking around, the people are very friendly and it's not touristy at all. I really liked the central park and the cathedral in front. There's a bus that goes to San Jose every 15 or 30 minutes (I don't remember, but Laura can always help you with that) where you can visit some nice museums, but I would never choose to stay in San Jose instead of Alajuela. San Jose is one big tourist trap, Alajuela is closer to the airport and a much more authentic place to stay.

Situato a 12 km dalla Cascata di Rio Celeste, il Jardin entre Montañas offre un giardino e sistemazioni con patio e connessione WiFi gratuita. Il bagno privato è completo di doccia e set di cortesia. Excellent location in a beautiful garden. The owners are such a nice people. They ofered us a free night walk in the garden to see night animals. Garden with all trees and flowers is magical. The apartment is cosy with a small kitchen. Breakfast is delicious. We hihgly recommend Jardin entre Montañas.

Situata a 2,9 km dallo Stadio Alejandro Morera Soto, la Casa del Suizo offre sistemazioni con salotto in comune, un giardino e una reception aperta 24 ore su 24. La signora che ci ha ospitato è stata molto gentile e disponibile. Ci ha offerto una buona colazione. Avrei tuttavia gradito una comunicazione in anticipo che la modalità di pagamento della camera fosse in contanti. In ogni caso consigliato!

Situato a Pital, a 44 km dalla Florida, l'Iguanitas Lodge offre un giardino e la connessione WiFi gratuita. Al mattino vi attende una colazione alla carta. L'Iguanitas Lodge vanta anche una terrazza. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is a family run business and they are the nicest people. It is not a fancy resort but is comfortable and clean. The pool is a great place to cool off. They have a nice outdoor sitting area and a feeding station where a lot of birds come to feed. They also make good food.
