Unfortunately we stayed during a weekend with rain and cool temperatures but we still had a wonderful time. There is a fire inside to stay warm and cozy. The view was beautiful and after the rain we enjoyed grilling. It is a beautiful spot in nature to relax and get away. It had everything we needed including help lighting the fire :) we will come back again next summer!

WiFi and on-site private parking are available free of charge. This is such a hidden germ! The room we stayed in was fully renovated, with a nice balcony and a great view of the mountains. In general, we really appreciated the hospitality — the staff were very kind and welcoming and there were thoughtful touches like free coffee and water carafes in the communal area, as well as an “honesty bar.” After a long day of discovering beautiful Lucerne and its surroundings, you can try local beers in the garden under the shade of the trees (which seem to be frequented by locals as well.) The location is perfect as it’s very close to the city center (direct bus line, train stop 5 min walk away) but also gives easier access to Alpnachstad/mountains. We hope to be back!
