Gipfelrestaurant Fronalpstock is situated in Stoos, 1922 metres above sea level and next to the 4er Sesselbahn Fronalpstock and 6er Sesselbahn. Everything was perfect. The best thing was the window view 😍. Very delicious breakfast. Staff was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this place!

Unfortunately we stayed during a weekend with rain and cool temperatures but we still had a wonderful time. There is a fire inside to stay warm and cozy. The view was beautiful and after the rain we enjoyed grilling. It is a beautiful spot in nature to relax and get away. It had everything we needed including help lighting the fire :) we will come back again next summer!

Offering a restaurant, Landgasthof Schlüssel Alpnach is located in Alpnach, at the foot of Pilatus Mountain. Free WiFi access is available. The hotel had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The woman who served us breakfast was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made our mornings delightful. The location was also very convenient for accessing Mount Pilatus.

Located 1 km away from Lucerne, Gasthaus zur Waldegg features 2 restaurants offering traditional Swiss and international cuisine, a bar and a beer garden overlooking Mount Pilatus. This is such a hidden germ! The room we stayed in was fully renovated, with a nice balcony and a great view of the mountains. In general, we really appreciated the hospitality — the staff were very kind and welcoming and there were thoughtful touches like free coffee and water carafes in the communal area, as well as an “honesty bar.” After a long day of discovering beautiful Lucerne and its surroundings, you can try local beers in the garden under the shade of the trees (which seem to be frequented by locals as well.) The location is perfect as it’s very close to the city center (direct bus line, train stop 5 min walk away) but also gives easier access to Alpnachstad/mountains. We hope to be back!

Overlooking Lake Lucerne and the Alps, this guesthouse in Meggen is just 6 km from Lucerne and offers free Wi-Fi. The spacious rooms at Gasthaus zum Kreuz are non-smoking. Beautiful view from the hotel. The room is old fashioned but well maintained. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly people in the hotel.

The b&b is clean, nice, anything you need, a simple but good breakfast. Silvya is very talkative and always asks about your day and if you need anything. You also get your own key to the frontdoor.
