Boasting quiet street views, Kiki's B&B features accommodation with a terrace, around 1.1 km from Badischer Bahnhof. The hosts were super friendly. The place, while small, is cute and private. The absolute highlight is the breakfast, which was phenomenal to the point where you feel sad you can't eat everything.

Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV. Overall, a great experience. I was met by Kai, who took me to my room, and explained everything, including with a lever-arch file of notes. He checked that I had everything I needed, and then left. I didn't need to contact him, but I had all his contact details in case I did. It's a large enough room with beds, a table and a well-enough equipped kitchen, and a fan in case it gets a bit hot. There is enough hanging space in the cupboard. The bathroom is shared with another room (I knew that at the time of booking), and that might not suit everybody, but it was perfectly fine with me. The location is great: about 2-3 blocks from a tram intersection for the Number 1 tram that goes to the main station and to the Messe Convention centre. Other trams are also there, but I did not use them. There are also two largish grocery stores in the vicinity of the tram station.

Located in Bettingen, within 6.1 km of Badischer Bahnhof and 7.1 km of Messe Basel, B&B Sigrid Braun-Budde provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. I was traveling with my mom on a full month road trip. We started our trip at Sigrid on our first night and we came back for our last night before heading back to Canada. If i could put 20 stars on this, i definitely would. Sigrid is the sweetest grandma alive ❤️ We bonded like we have known each other forever. We couldn't wait to come back to her at the end of our trip. The house is warm, so welcoming and clean, and you couldn't ask for a better host in a million years. Set within 1.2 km of Kunstmuseum Basel and 1.5 km of Basel Cathedral in the centre of Basel, Pension Breite offers accommodation with free WiFi and seating area. The kindness of the host, the complementary coffee, water, chocolate etc. in the room, the size of the room, all the details that make you feel welcome. The tram stop (no3) right in front of the accommodation, 10 min. to city center. We also went to the Beyeler Fondation and it took about 30 min by public transport (bus + tram).

I was very very happy with the host, and he was very mindful and accommodating. The facilities were very clean, even the washroom. The host was very helpful in guiding me around Basel, and I felt comfortable and welcomed.

If I only had one word to describe Chez Jean and Daisy, it would be: Magical. This bed and breakfast in a sleepy hamlet outside of Basel near the German border is nothing short of a treasure. Everything in the house is steeped in history, charm, and beauty. Immediately upon walking in the gate to the property, you are greeted with an elegant garden. At the door, the wise and wonderful Jean embraces you with a larger-than-life personality. Daisy, with her warmth and loveliness, becomes no stranger too. The breakfast is served downstairs in the shadow of a ticking clock that has more character than a Victor Hugo novel. The bread is homemade and deliciously unique.
