Host and hostess made it for us. They were really friendly,knowledable and very accommodating,even upgrading us to a nicer room when possible. The shared lounge/dining area was lovely. Fabulous quiet location in the woods. I was apprehensive about a shared bathroom but it was immaculate at all times as was the kitchen.

Such a beautiful view of the Firth of Thames! Perfect size unit for 2 people. We loved waking up in the morning to the view. Sunset in the evening was also beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip. Would love to come and stay here again.

If this property is available, book it! Wonderful hosts in an amazing manor house on a beautiful property. Room was lovely with a shared bath just down the hall and plenty of space downstairs to spread out (plus a small lounge upstairs). Highlight of the night was a game of billiards in the fireplace room.
Breakfast was outstanding, but the real treat was the dinner platter they put together for us. We brought our own wine and paired it with the platter --it was outstanding! Far superior to any of the platters we had at wineries. Highly recommend requesting they do the same for you.

We received a warm welcome from Carmel and Siegfried at their lovely home. Their garden borders bushland and attracts native birds, and has a view of the sea. Our upstairs apartment was well appointed and careful thought has gone into provisions, furnishings and guest information. Breakfasts are delicious.

We had an awesome experience at Lady Bowen. Stu and Barbara were great hosts. They gave us a really informative and interesting run down of the history of the place. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the whole house really charming.

First time in New Zealand I have stayed in good accomodation! Clean, pretty design, drinks (tea, cofee, even hot chocolate ready from the start), huge and beautiful bathroom, comfy beds, heat pump in the room, free jacuzzi under the stars! And because we were coming back by bus owner offered us a ride to the city center! This is perfect place to rest from busy job - house is located on the hill, at the end of the street, it's quiet, you can see lots of stars during night and bay during day. The owners are lovely couple.
