If this property is available, book it! Wonderful hosts in an amazing manor house on a beautiful property. Room was lovely with a shared bath just down the hall and plenty of space downstairs to spread out (plus a small lounge upstairs). Highlight of the night was a game of billiards in the fireplace room.
Breakfast was outstanding, but the real treat was the dinner platter they put together for us. We brought our own wine and paired it with the platter --it was outstanding! Far superior to any of the platters we had at wineries. Highly recommend requesting they do the same for you.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The staff were super friendly and very accommodating and the amenities were well appointed and clean. The property is in a great location opposite the beach and set back from the road so very quiet. Highly recommended.

We had an awesome experience at Lady Bowen. Stu and Barbara were great hosts. They gave us a really informative and interesting run down of the history of the place. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the whole house really charming.
Quaint beautifully kept property with a lovely garden and outlook. Nice & quiet location & very clean & comfortable accommodation. Adrienne was a great host & very helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
First time in New Zealand I have stayed in good accomodation! Clean, pretty design, drinks (tea, cofee, even hot chocolate ready from the start), huge and beautiful bathroom, comfy beds, heat pump in the room, free jacuzzi under the stars! And because we were coming back by bus owner offered us a ride to the city center! This is perfect place to rest from busy job - house is located on the hill, at the end of the street, it's quiet, you can see lots of stars during night and bay during day. The owners are lovely couple.
