This place is amazing. Perfect place for a calm and peaceful holiday. Close to Talpe Beach. The owner of this place was very friendly and very supportive. Helped a lot to make our vacation a great one. We got the whole cottage with a kitchen and a beautiful garden. Had a lovely dinner in this perfect garden with a great vibe. Even the owner joined us to share his knowledge and insight with us on our invite to the dinner table, Which was a great discussion indeed. Had a great tasty breakfast in the morning as well. Fantastic breakfast, such helpful hosts and the grounds are stunning. Having monkeys, monitor lizards, squirrels and the sound of birds all around you was incredible. We so valued staying slightly further inland as it meant you could go and retreat after the beach in a busy little town.

This is my second stay at this beautiful friendly home stay & i am beyond impressed. Returning here felt like coming back to a home away from home. The warmth and hospitality I experienced during my first visit were matched, if not exceeded, this time around.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and a personal touch that made me feel valued from Theekshana & his Father. The rooms were just as cozy and spotless as I remembered, with all the little comforts that make staying here so special – from the soft bed to the magnificent view offers from the roof top even though the bad weather prevented me several times, i really loved the colors it offered during various weather conditions.
If you’re looking for a place that offers more than just accommodation, where you feel like part of the family, this is the place to be. It really worth the price & I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area – whether it’s your first time or you’re coming back like I did.

Such a beautiful property away from the chaotic streets of Unawatuna. As soon as you walk in you feel calm. The room was huge with free tea and coffee restocks daily . We loved the outdoor shower. Super easy walk to the beach, heaps of restaurants and shopping just outside the hotel. The staff were so attentive and friendly.

Incredibly fresh and clean, very new building in a beautiful garden. Close enough to walk to Turtle Beach and very easy to ride into Unawatuna for the other beaches and dinner.

Showers are hot and there is a place to relax outside and dry your swimming gear!
Amazing location right on the beach front with pretty much your own private beach to swim in. Homestay managed by two lovely sisters and their sweet children which will cater and cook whatever you would like. I’ll definitely be back!!
The villa is located in talpe. It is very secure and private. The building is newly renovated and the interior looks immaculate. Defo gonna stay there if we swing by Galle.
Stunning villa with great architecture ! The villa has a great location with easy access to the beach and just 10 mins away from Galle fort.. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the villa was very clean and of exceptional standard. In addition the food was amazing, we had Sri Lankan food as well as more Western cuisines and it was probably the best food I had during my trip to Sri Lanka. Most importantly the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views overlooking the beach . Really enjoyed my stay at Candella House.
A family run hotel in great location. Right next to Talpe natural pools. It gets busy during the day but in the morning and evenings Its like a private pool. Excellent customer service and they will go beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. Quiet location and close to Galle and Weligama. Good places in walking distance for eating/drinking. Thank you Wasantha & the family for being great hosts.

I wouldn't recommend this to solo female travellers.
I had a man In the early morning come into my room. I had to shout for him to leave. I told the hotel manager who didn't see it as a problem.
