Our hosts truly became friends by the time we left. Yasuo and his partner were so friendly and welcoming. If you don’t do anything else order your dinner and lunch from Yasuo. He’s a fantastic chef and will make you or your kids your favorite foods.

It was clean and comfortable.
I enjoyed having hand made pizza bread exclusively made by guesthouse owners while enjoying the view from the counter seat. The guesthouse owners were also really friendly and they also recommended me a lot of great places to visit in Awajishima! I would like to bring my families back to stay at the room which can see sunrise from bed next time.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Good value budget hotel.
Great location for accessibility to the rail stations and cheap restaurants.
My next hotel was 3 times the price and half as good.
We loved everything about this place. It’s quaint, quirky vintage feel (some may find it a bit dated, so may not be to everybody’s taste, but we loved it). We especially loved spending quiet time in “the Perch” and relaxing in the onsen as well as just sitting and enjoying the view of the trees from our room.
The outdoor private onsens were amazing. Booking them was easy and there was always availability. It's really not necessary to get the in-room onsen.
The yukata and japanese pj's which were provided were also great quality. I now regret not buying some :)
There are some great hiking trails and a hilltop shrine near the hotel, which are very quiet and secluded.
Easily in the top 3 of all the hostels I stayed at. Lovely vibe, cool staff and guests, very clean and charming hostel (I actually really liked the train noises). Private rooms are spacious and relatively cheap. This is what every hostel should aspire to be
The rooms are very spacious! To be in the very city centre of a big and busy city I was definitely surprised! We enjoyed our stay, The staff was really kind and helpful. Rooms were impeccably clean and got everything you needed. Comfortable beds and quiet space, also if it's really close to the night life in Kobe.
Small hostel on the side of the Chinese district. Nice, cheap and cozy - good access to the city center so location is a plus. The shower facilities were clean and good quality - though of course renting the bed in shared room it's not entirely private. Still I shared the room with only one other Japanese person and it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.
