It's extremely close proximity to shops, tea rooms, restaurants. A pristine accommodation with a huge bathtub and shower, comfortable beds and pillows and a delicious customized breakfast in the charming attached cafe. You can also preorder a box lunch and although the cafe closes late afternoon you are given an access code to come & go as u please. There's a tv and free wifi available as well.

We loved this hotel. The property is very well maintained the rooms are spacious, spotless, the staff very helpful and the main rooms are charming. The location is excellent for seeing the area. We traveled to so many lovely places by the convenient buses. Alex the assistant manager is an assist to the company. She is attentive and extremely helpful. She helped me on several small personal issues. They are lucky to have her. The rooms were clean expertly by Jaqueline ( I believe that is her name apologies if I got it wrong) We will most definitely return.

Victorian House is the perfect home base for a stay in Grasmere, it is nestled on a quiet corner steps from the main shops and restaurants of the town, with the most spectacular view. Beautifully designed and kept, each room has an air of luxury in the most cozy comfortable way. Beyond the location and design the staff are amoung the most caring and hospitable I have ever experienced, taking genuine care in each aspect of the experience. Also an excellent breakfast! We can’t wait to return to this special place.

Stayed in the Penthouse, top floor with a private outside terrace which is nearly as big as the room… great for the dog and if we had had better weather, for us too!
Plenty of parking, Richard was on hand twice when we needed a hand… forgotten phone charger and then jump leads for the car!!! Nothing was too much trouble, great host.
