Great location in the center of beautiful Grasmere village. Quiet with some ground around it. Huge comfortable and well equipped rooms. Dedicated parking spots. Great base for starting walks or for going to restaurants and bars in the town. Good breakfast, complimentary scones’n’cream, very helpful staff.

Victorian House is the perfect home base for a stay in Grasmere, it is nestled on a quiet corner steps from the main shops and restaurants of the town, with the most spectacular view. Beautifully designed and kept, each room has an air of luxury in the most cozy comfortable way. Beyond the location and design the staff are amoung the most caring and hospitable I have ever experienced, taking genuine care in each aspect of the experience. Also an excellent breakfast! We can’t wait to return to this special place.

Stayed in the Penthouse, top floor with a private outside terrace which is nearly as big as the room… great for the dog and if we had had better weather, for us too!
Plenty of parking, Richard was on hand twice when we needed a hand… forgotten phone charger and then jump leads for the car!!! Nothing was too much trouble, great host.
We love everything about Lake View Country House. It's beautiful inside and out. It's in a great location. Quiet, private but close to all the nearby amenities. Super Dog Friendly
