Lovely location with about a 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of Grasmere. The room was cosy and the perfect size for my partner and myself.
Really friendly staff, and very relaxed atmosphere.
Added the breakfast option after we got there and so glad we did, if you have a sweet tooth try the pancakes! We also ate in the restaurant for dinner on the first night and the food was delicious.

Just amazing from check in to check out everything ran smoothly. The hotel is fabulous, lovely rooms , cosy bar and dining room, with open fires. The food was absolutely delicious, breakfast too. Most importantly was the staff and superb customer service, they made our stay even better. The Inn is set in an idyllic setting, where the stars shine brightly in dark skies, walkable to Grasmere or just a short drive away, fab walks on the doorstep.
Thank you once again to the wonderful staff for making our stay perfect, and for helping my brother who had a small accident , you were amazing. We will be back soon ... 😘🫶

A friendly welcome upon arriving. Close to all amenities in the village. Warm, clean room with a great view to Loughrigg. Several lounge areas with comfy seats. Superb breakfast. Free carparking. I really like how they support other local businesses in the running of the B&B (e.g. Garside butchers, Pure Lakes toiletries, etc.).

Great location in the center of beautiful Grasmere village. Quiet with some ground around it. Huge comfortable and well equipped rooms. Dedicated parking spots. Great base for starting walks or for going to restaurants and bars in the town. Good breakfast, complimentary scones’n’cream, very helpful staff.
The location is fantastic in the middle of the village but tucked away in a quiet corner with private access. Our room Holly is the smallest in the house but more than spacious enough for a weeks stay
Victorian House is the perfect home base for a stay in Grasmere, it is nestled on a quiet corner steps from the main shops and restaurants of the town, with the most spectacular view. Beautifully designed and kept, each room has an air of luxury in the most cozy comfortable way. Beyond the location and design the staff are amoung the most caring and hospitable I have ever experienced, taking genuine care in each aspect of the experience. Also an excellent breakfast! We can’t wait to return to this special place.

Stayed in the Penthouse, top floor with a private outside terrace which is nearly as big as the room… great for the dog and if we had had better weather, for us too!
Plenty of parking, Richard was on hand twice when we needed a hand… forgotten phone charger and then jump leads for the car!!! Nothing was too much trouble, great host.
We love everything about Lake View Country House. It's beautiful inside and out. It's in a great location. Quiet, private but close to all the nearby amenities. Super Dog Friendly
