A wonderful, romantic 2 room appartment, with view over the lush garden. Great welcome by the staff. Superbe breakfast.
Built in 1450 the Bull Hotel is a timber house in the charming East Anglian village of Long Melford. The former Coaching Inn offers rooms with attached bathroom and fine food.
Welcome to our 15th Century inn where our modern twist on the traditional creates a wonderful setting to enjoy our food, sample our local ales, explore our wine list and rest a weary head.

Gorgeous location in a quiet Suffolk Village. The building was beautiful and ideally decorated. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good (we were meeting friends elsewhere). Bar was well stocked and staff very helpful. We upgraded and had a beautiful and large room. Bathroom was a little less decadent than the rest of the hotel but clean enough. We used our own toiletries but good to see environmental impact was thought about. TV was odd and difficult to use - usual channels didn't seem available and if we tried Netflix or any of the other apps, none of them worked, so we turned it off and just had music playing on our phones. Comfy bed, and tea/coffee available, so all good. We loved it.
*worth mentioning that had we paid full price I would have felt it a little expensive, but I had a Booking.com credit and so actually it felt like a bargain.
The Crown Hotel is a family-run historic inn and restaurant, built in 1610. It retains many interesting features, such as Tudor cellars and exposed internal beams.

The room was fantastic! Really big with a comfortable bed and although the bathroom could have been cleaner, the facilities were great, especially the shower.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Absolutely delicious English breakfast cooked to perfection. Our hosts couldn’t have done anymore charming and so attentive. I will try the tips given in hope I can cook poached eggs as good as Kay’s
What a gem. Very friendly, polite, helpful and efficient owners Kay and Doug. Started with a personal welcome notice outside directing me to personal car parking space. Very comfortable spacious room. Very quiet and peaceful house, garden and neighbourhood, nicely located for a variety of attractions. Lovely breakfast. Would give it 100% with a distinction.
The room we had was comfortable and private. The building just oozes history (with a brief history written up in the welcome folder) and the garden that we had full access to was lovely. The bed was great and we slept really well. The owners were great hosts and the home cooked breakfast set us up for the day and the view as we ate was of the garden. The attention to detail was really good and the location is perfect for exploring Suffolk and Essex.
A beautiful house, tastefully decorated in a great location . The hosts were charming and most helpful. The room was luxurious and very comfortable, spotlessly clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Would highly recommend
Warm welcome, spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm room, lovely bathroom and excellent breakfast. Great location for visiting Lavenham, Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish.
