She has created a wonderful idyllic space, a complex of 6 apartments that offers you things that until now I had never found before, and everything free, at no added cost. A pool, a jacuzzi, a barbecue to use whenever you want and with everything you need without having to look for it on your own, two Washing machines and a dryer, a mini football field and beautiful views of a meadow where cows graze. On the complex there are also some animals which makes the day to the children. A parrot named Lara, few peacocks and some hens whose fresh eggs you can take and eat as many you wish. Each of the apartments is perfectly equipped but above all, full with everything you need on the first day. Water, coffee, tea, salt, sugar, oil, kitchen paper... it seems silly, but when you don't go to a hotel but to an apartment, having the minimum on the first day before you go to a supermarket, helps a lot. Claudia has only one employee, Nicole, who is in charge of cleaning your apartment whenever you want, and who is at the villa from 9 till 19 pm taking care that all is ok. As it couldn’t be other way, she is as kind as Claudia, always with an smile on her face and ready to help. During the eight days we spent there we felt the peace and quietness of a private place, as if it were our own home, only much bigger and with all the open beautiful spaces explained above. We practically felt as if we were alone. Without any doubt the best place we’ve been so far. Thank you

Located within 12 km of Pico do Carvao and 24 km of Sete Cidades Lagoon, Santa Clara 1828 provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ponta Delgada. The condo was in a great location and there were very comfortable places to hang out in the unit. The unit had great air conditioning on every room. They stocked the fridge with water, juice and baked bread. The manager was very helpful and made us feel welcomed. would definitely stay here again!

Vila Emigrante has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Capelas, 6.9 km from Pico do Carvao. The air-conditioned accommodation is 15 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon. Amazing location in a calm place and yet everything was very close. Good wifi and comfy bed. Super helpful and friendly hosts. Capelas town has many good restaurants and a nice coast.

Featuring a rooftop pool and views of city, Casa da Galeria - Azores Art of Hosting is a recently renovated aparthotel set in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. Was supposed to meet my sister here who was flying separately but my flight was cancelled. The staff was extremely nice and helpful during check in (despite reservation being in my name etc) and throughout the entire stay (helped order taxis, make recommendations, prepared a delicious to go breakfast for the early morning flight). Room was nice, everything was very clean, nice amenities(pool, gym), good location. Would definitely return!

Apartment Sweet Home is situated in Ponta Delgada, 700 metres from Milicias Beach, 1 km from São Roque Beach, as well as 1 km from Populo Beach. The property was very easy to access from the main road around the island. Parking was available. A car is necessary but, in my opinion, a car is necessary on the island. The property had everything we needed. We were very lucky to have use of a washing machine!
