Mr. Bodhi takes extra special care of his guests and makes sure that the stay is unforgettable. The property is very conveniently located near the beach, restaurants and shopping area. We had the best time in Unawatuna, thanks to Mr. Bodhi and family.

Possible to do your laundry for a reasonable price. 15 minutes walk to Galle fort, only place in Sri Lanka where we could actually comfortably walk on a sidewalk.

The place is alright, but what really stands out is the level of service, kindness and generosity. Dam is definitely one of the best hosts I’ve ever had. I had just arrived to Sri Lanka and he made me feel very welcome, at home and safe. He picked me up from the train station without me even asking, offered great tips to see the Fort and even gave me some bananas from his garden upon my leaving. Overall a lovely stay! Felt very safe, the place is clean and just like the pictures and location is walkable to the Fort. Would definitely recommend to any solo travellers!

It's not the most upmarket 5 star resort with staff that are only polite to you out of fear that you'll complain if they do anything wrong, but actually the most authentic and lovely Sri Lankan experience instead. Samith and his family are the most welcoming Sri Lankan hosts that you could possibly ask for. We were made to feel like we were a part of their family, even being fed extra food that they had made and being invited into their kitchen to learn how to make authentic Kottu. The location is great, set back a little bit from the main road so no traffic noises, and the yard/garden is a beautiful space. It felt very secure, and It's also perfectly placed to get to various different surf spots within walking distance (marshmallow animals and sticks are all under a 5 min walk) or a very cheap tuktuk ride to gorgeous beaches. there is a supermarket 1 minute walk away too which was very useful. The Biggest bonus was Shadow, the 2 month old puppy who became our best friend! we will definitely come straight back next time we come to Sri lanka as this was hands down the best accommodation experience we had while here.

From the amazing pool, the brand new rooms and furniture, the commodities, the location of the house, and most importantly, the hospitality of the owner’s family were 10 out of 10!! Also, the breakfast was great. We fell in love with this house and couldn't recommend it more. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka, this will be our home again. Thank you for everything!!
