GRAND BASE Kagoshima is situated in Kagoshima, 2.5 km from Kagoshima Station, 500 metres from Museum of the Meiji Restoration, as well as 400 metres from Korai Bridge. This was a fantastic accommodation experience that exceeded expectations, with large and clean hotel rooms. Self service check-in, fully equipped with washing machines, microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, and dining tables. I only started choosing a hotel after arriving at Kagoshima Chuo Station and accidentally chose this one. Later on, I realized that the location of this hotel was very good, just a walk from the planetarium. You will experience how convenient it is to be close to the planetarium. I will choose this place again next time I come to Kagoshima.

Amami Weekly House Nico Nico Nazeko-ten is situated in Amami, 2.8 km from Asani Beach, less than 1 km from Yanigawa Shopping Street, and a 11-minute walk from Tida Mall Shopping Street. The property exceeded my expectations. Everything in the room was perfect. The room was spotless, everything looked brand new, the room was very very wide, the beds are very comfortable, and our room had a piano which we enjoyed playing. Most important, it is in the center of town with a drugstore across the street and dining less than five minutes away! Also, the owner made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again.

Conveniently located near restaurants and shops (a short walk away) but tucked in a quiet corner of the city. Check in/out was fuss free without any staff present, and the room exceeded our expectations (clean, spacious, even with a full kitchen etc).

Absolutely beautiful property. Very large, comfortable beds and pillows. Peaceful and a great sauna. The owners were lovely and drove us to and from the ferry. The kitchen had everything we needed.

This property exceeded my expectations with its beauty and cleanliness. The property owner was very welcoming and even gave us guides to explore the area! I highly recommend this property for anyone who is looking to experience a traditional Japanese accommodation.

I had an amazing stay at this spacious house on the south coast of Yakushima! If you’re planning to visit, I definitely recommend coming by car since there’s a free parking spot available, which makes things super convenient. - Beautiful and cozy house: The house is stunning inside and out, with a warm, welcoming vibe. The garden is also really well maintained and adds to the charm. - Spotlessly clean: Everything was incredibly clean when I arrived, which made the stay very comfortable. - Fast WiFi: The internet is surprisingly fast, which was a great bonus. - Affordable food options: The house offers food you can buy for just 100–200¥, including ramen, curry, rice, and snacks - Great location: A supermarket is only 2 minutes away on foot, and there are two hot springs (onsens) and a beach within walking distance. - Spacious and well-equipped: The house can accommodate up to 7 people and has two bathrooms, which is really convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. - Friendly owner: The owner is incredibly kind and speaks enough English to communicate easily. They’ve also prepared some English translations and information to help you out.

Set in Amami and only 1.6 km from Asani Beach, Nagahama House -奄美大島のテラス付一棟貸切- offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation was more like a homestay, as you have your own space but the owners are downstairs and are connected through an internal stairway. The host was extremely kind and generous. The weather was cool, so we didn't get to use the outdoor space much, but in warmer weather, it would be a lovely space to read, rest and eat. The bedding and space overall was comfortable. Parking was easy and convenient. We came in on the ferry, so the location was perfect for our late arrival.

Located 1.2 km from Kagoshima Chuo Station and 2.5 km from Kagoshima Station, Sun Route Hirano-cho, サンルート平之町 features free WiFi and units equipped with a kitchen and balcony. It had all the facilities we required. The location was great.
