Raul, the tourist guide (not part of the hotel) has a little kiosk at the side of the main road. He got us taxis into town. 35mxn. In short everyone we came across was amazingly friendly and helpful. Taxco is wonderful for a weekend break.

For example, as all the restaurants nearby were closed, they helped me order food for delivery. When the delivery did not arrive, they drove me to a local restaurant and waited to drive me back to the hotel.
