I loved my room, very spacious and tatami style. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. It was a very comfortable stay and out of the busyness of Kyoto and yet still walkable to Gion and other attractions.

Minn Gion is located in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, 600 metres from Gion Shijo Station, less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.7 km from Heian Shrine. Clean, comfortable, great location. Short walk to the heart of Gion shopping district, but on the quiet side. Family Mart literally next door. 5 min walk to Sanjo Station. Great for our family of 4. The tatami futon mats were actually very comfortable. We loved everything and highly recommend.

Excellent location, 300m from metro (Kyoto bus w/luggage is a pain) so station is easy. Imperial palace is next door. Silent street. Host is friendly, room is indeed spacious, furnished tastefully. Lots of wall sockets. Microwave, fridge is good to have. Openable window, balcony.
