Located in Windermere, Kotel Windermere provides a garden and free WiFi. There were thoughtful little details like dishwashing liquid, dish cloth, sponge etc. Also the checking in and checking out process was really fast and easy. They allowed us to store our suitcases in the office till we had to leave for the train station. when there were no taxis available, the manager , despite his busy schedule, kindly drove us to the station at no extra cost! Such kindness and hospitality is rare to find. Its location is ideal too - walking distance to the town centre and the Windermere lake and well connected to bus routes.

The modern Waterview Deluxe Apartments are set on Barrow-on-Furness’ waterfront, less than a mile from the Dock Museum and town centre. Apartment was spacious and modern. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Close to shops and other amenities.
