We had side by side rooms to fit our family of 5. The rooms were well equipped with dishes. We also appreciated the extra seating so that we could all hang out in the larger room to watch a movie. The location was great. Easy walk to a Roman Fort, the lakefront, pubs, and also walkable into Ambleside. Our kids loved the hot tub. Staff were friendly.

Grindal Studio Apartments - Nýlega Opened Luxury Accommodation er gististaður með sameiginlegri setustofu í St Bees, 24 km frá Muncaster-kastala, 35 km frá Buttermere og 41 km frá Whinlatter Forest... What a gem this place is! I stayed in a quality, clean and spacious studio apartment, with a built in kitchenette, lounge area and comfy double bed. The lounge area had a large TV, with all sorts of built-in apps (iplayer, Prime, Netflix, etc), whilst the kitchen came with a microwave, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, dishwasher (dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid were provided) and all the usual cutlery, crockery and glassware. There was also complimentary bread, butter and milk, along with tea, coffee and sugar. The ensuite bathroom was fresh and modern and came with a large shower cubicle. There was no bath. Towels, toilet roll and body wash / shampoo and soap were provided. There are no on-site staff at this accommodation and guests can come and go as they please. Each room has it's own keycard and the site has great wifi connectivity. There is also free on-site parking and a communal lounge, with TV. There is a lift, although it was not operational during my visit (the building is not yet complete, although it won't be long and this was not an issue at all). As well as being a fantastic apartment, it was also great value and in a great location. Accessing other parts of the Lake District is straightforward by car and Wasdale Head is only 45 minutes drive away (This is 1 of the locations from which to climb Scafell Pike).

Beautifully appointed house in a quiet part of Ulverston. Very close to the shops and for countryside walks. The house was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Diana, the host, was very helpful and welcoming.
