We spent two nights at Apartamentos Turisticos Atlantida and I can say it is a place I would definitely recommend. The location is pretty central in Funchal but at the same time we found it to be very quiet at night.
The apartments are spacious and we found ours pretty clean with a fully equipped kitchen. They also have an underground garage that costs 7.50€ a day and I think this is a good deal if you have a car.
The staff we met was welcoming and they explained everything on arrival. We had a great experience overall!

Really nice bedrooms, the view of the plaza is really nice. Location is great. Aircon works perfectly same as WiFi. The water pressure of the shower is really nice and the hot water is more than enough. It has a small kitchen with basic needs but complete.
They help you with airport transfer, which I appreciated.

The staff were relatively quick to respond and were all very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable enough. The roof terrace(s) were lovely (as is the view) but the cushions could really use replacing. Overall it did the job.

This is a lovely apartment. The kitchen has everything required for good self-catering. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is great. Air-conditioning is excellent. The rooms are spacious and bright. The windows all have full blinds. The description says it includes a balcony, which it does, but not the type you can sit on as it's very narrow. Everything was perfectly clean. It's safe and secure. The location is perfect, with the main centre of Funchal right on the doorstep.
