This was a really comfortable and relaxing hotel.
There were plenty of sun beds, both in the sun and in the shade. The swimming pools were large and quite warm 28/29 degrees. Frequent busses. Supermarkets and resturants close by.
In the Santa Maria district of Funchal, close to Almirante Reis Beach, Apartments Madeira City Center features a terrace and a washing machine.

The apartment is moments from the entrance to Old Town, the area is safe, the location is quiet at night, the facilities are exceptional, the staff are the best I’ve encountered anywhere in the world. The apartment is impeccably clean, the host was waiting for me at arrival and helped me with outstanding suggestions of things to do, places to see and the best venues to eat, from a local’s point of view! You are less than a 10 minute walk to the centre of Funchal city and the minutes to the bay/marina area. I felt safe walking around at night, I can neither fault the accommodation, nor the location, nor the staff. I have travelled the world and this has been, by far, my favourite place to stay.

The property was ideal for a self-catering holiday. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and included oven, hob, kettle, microwave, and a good selection of pans.
The other great thing was that we could leave our luggage in the apartment on our final day as our return flight was in the evening.
The apartment is very modern and clean. It is in a fantastic location close to the Mercado and large supermarket for self catering. The views from the balcony and apartment are amazing. Duarte was very friendly and helpful.
The property has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay. Lots of kitchen equipment for self-catering, spacious balcony for private outdoor relaxation, large rooftop pool area with plenty loungers - always very quiet so this felt private too, and additional pool towels supplied surplus to bathroom linens were much appreciated.
This is a lovely apartment. The kitchen has everything required for good self-catering. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is great. Air-conditioning is excellent. The rooms are spacious and bright. The windows all have full blinds. The description says it includes a balcony, which it does, but not the type you can sit on as it's very narrow. Everything was perfectly clean. It's safe and secure. The location is perfect, with the main centre of Funchal right on the doorstep.
